Who we are

Sandbox Interactive is the ambitious game development studio behind the award-winning game Albion Online. The game is the first true cross-platform MMO, and is playable on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android with more than 350.000 daily players and over 2 million monthly visitors on our website. We started as a small independent group of experienced gaming professionals in 2012, and now employ an international team of more than 100 people. Since 2020, Sandbox Interactive has been part of the Stillfront Group. Our team is passionate about making Albion Online the best game it can be, and we’re constantly on the lookout for talented individuals to join our growing team in the heart of Berlin.

Your Game

• Support Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and cloud/Kubernetes provisioning

• Help maintain CI/CD pipelines and shared platform components

• Assist with monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerts

• Support teams in integrating services into CI/CD, Kubernetes, and observability tools

• Participate in on-call rotations and assist with troubleshooting

• Contribute to documentation and automation of recurring tasks

Your Talent

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in a DevOps / Platform Engineering role (or equivalent)

• Prior working knowledge of networking fundamentals, Linux systems administration, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience operating IaC and automation-first tooling (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD systems)

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues end-to-end across infrastructure, platform, and application layers

• Strong aversion to manual configuration (click-ops) and UI-driven changes; preference for version-controlled, repeatable automation

• Highly self-driven with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluent in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Elasticsearch / ELK Stack / ECK

• Experience with Jenkins

• Experience with GitLab

• Experience with Puppet

• Experience with Proxmox

• Experience with Datadog

• Scripting proficiency in Bash and/or Python

• Familiarity with Windows administration and PowerShell scripting

• Competence in the German language
